The beauty of choosing antique jewellery is that they are often one off treasures, handmade by artisans from a bygone era. Our collection ranges from rings, necklaces and bracelets from over a hundred years old to more contemporary ones, all with a timeless appeal to last for more generations to come.

A glimpse of beauty from the past

Vintage and antique jewellery offers unique, intricate designs that are often hard to find in modern pieces. It's a sustainable choice by reducing the need for new mining and production. Each piece comes with a rich history, adding personal meaning and character. Vintage items are often rare and exclusive, making them truly one-of-a-kind.

FAQs

What exactly is vintage and antique jewellery?

Vintage jewellery is those that are 20 to 30 years old, typically from the 1920s to the 1980s. Antique jewellery, on the other hand, is much older, normally over 100 years old

Is the jewellery certified?

Our vintage jewellery always comes with a full and detailed receipt with metal type, stones weights and sizes and any available provenance. Some gemstones will come with laboratory reports and this is a service that can be offered for an additional fee.

Does it come insured?

Your order is covered under our insurance from when it leaves the shop to the delivery address you provide to us. See our delivery page for more information about deliveries.

How should I clean vintage and antique jewellery?

Jewellery worn everyday should be cleaned very gently. See our page (link) on exact methods for cleaning your jewellery by type and minimising damage. We recommend you have your jewellery professionally cleaned to ensure it is done safely. Contact us to book an appointment.

When is the best occasion to wear it?

All our vintage pieces have been checked for quality in our workshop and are suitable for careful regular use with the limited exceptions of delicate dress jewellery. We recommend all jewellery is taken off for sleep, exercise and any activity where they might be caught or damaged

Can vintage jewellery be resized?

Most of our jewellery can be sized up or down a number of sizes, however there are limited instances where sizing can impact the integrity and quality of a ring and therefore not possible. Please do ask us as we will always do what we can!

When is buying vintage and antique the best choice?

Vintage and antique jewellery is often one of a kind and unique. Pieces can often be better value for money than newer ones as, depending on their age, they can be hand-made or hand-finished, which gives them a sense of uniqueness that many would pay a high price for. As they have already passed through the new to old cycle, they are likely to hold their value better, rather than depreciating. Vintage jewellery is also a more sustainable choice due to the large amounts of resources required to mine gemstones and gold to create new pieces. Each item of antique jewellery that makes it into our collection is chosen for its quality and is checked by our skilled team in our on-site workshop. This means you can trust the pieces are built to last, and can be treasured for generations to come.
